Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Developers Alter Criticized Suit Following Mixed Player Reactions
The developers were unable to please all fans of the superhero.
In the summer, Insomniac Games and Sony Interactive Entertainment returned to Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. The game received an update on PC and consoles that introduced two new outfits.
While many players appreciated one cell-shaded suit inspired by the fighting game MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls, questions arose regarding the quality of the costume styled after the film Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
Players compared the in-game version to the movie and noted a problem with the color choices. The developers responded to the feedback and recently announced the release of an update:
We have released a new update for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 that includes improvements to the Fresh Start suit based on player feedback. Update version 1.005.001 is now available.
A user known as Phil_lane_ shared a before-and-after comparison of the suit:

Not everyone appreciated the new version, as some users felt the blue inserts on the updated suit were too bright. However, Phil_lane_ expressed the opinion that this is a small price to pay for the overall improvement in the quality of the outfit:
It is a little brighter than the movie, but I think that is partly due to [the game’s] lighting, and it is a small price to pay for what is otherwise a massive improvement. Including the suit damage option.

Previously, an enthusiast ported the Spider-Man costume from Fortnite into Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, leading some players to believe that Epic Games managed to represent the look from Spider-Man: Brand New Day better in the game.
