Retro-inspired tag-team brawler Marvel Cosmic Invasion now has a firm launch date: it arrives on December 1, 2025. The latest reveal adds two high-profile characters — the Phoenix and Iron Man — expanding the game’s lineup ahead of release.
Jean Grey’s cosmic persona, the Phoenix, brings telekinetic devastation amplified by the eponymous cosmic force, while Iron Man joins the roster with his armored arsenal and aerial mobility. Watch the newest trailer and sample screenshots below to see their abilities and team-up tactics in motion.
These additions help complete a 15-hero cast assembled to confront the game’s primary antagonist, Annihilus. Confirmed playable characters include:
- Beta-Ray Bill
- Black Panther
- Captain America
- Cosmic Ghost Rider
- Nova
- Phyla-Vell
- Rocket Raccoon
- She-Hulk
- Silver Surfer
- Spider-Man
- Storm
- Venom
- Wolverine
- Phoenix
- Iron Man
Developed by Tribute Games — the studio behind TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge and Scott Pilgrim EX — and published by Dotemu, Marvel Cosmic Invasion is built around cooperative play with a tag-team mechanic: each player controls two heroes and swaps between them dynamically during combat. The title will launch on current- and previous-generation PlayStation and Xbox consoles, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
