Marvel Reveals Main Lineup and Release Date for New X-Men

Marvel Studios has revealed the core cast for its upcoming X-Men film and set the theatrical premiere for May 5, 2028, with Adam Driver starring as the team’s primary antagonist, Mister Sinister.

Sadie Sink will play Jean Grey, alongside Kit Connor as Cyclops, Samara Weaving as Emma Frost, Inde Navarrette as Rogue, Maya Boyd as Storm, and Christopher Abbott as Professor Charles Xavier.

Driver joined the presentation via video link and explained that he had discussed a potential role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe with Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige for several years, but they only recently found the right character.

Jake Schreier will direct the project after previously helming Thunderbolts*. Lee Sung Jin and Joanna Calo wrote the screenplay. The movie will mark Marvel Studios’ first feature film focused on the mutant team within the main Marvel Cinematic Universe.
