Locations from GTA VI compared to GTA: Vice City
Jason is not afraid of water, and the shooting range gameplay also looks noticeably different.
During the “Grand Theft Auto VI: Extended Look” presentation, the Rockstar Games team showcased not only the interiors of certain buildings but also a large city. Online observers have compared the current version of Vice City with the city developers presented 24 years ago in GTA: Vice City.
Graphics, scale, and location detail have clearly improved over the intervening years. A selection of frames gathered on Kotaku features similar moments, though exact scene recreation is impossible in GTA: Vice City, meaning the matched frames are often connected only by theme.
The presentation included views of mansions, tall buildings, a trailer park, motorcycle racing scenes, a nightclub, and a fully functional shooting range. In GTA VI, shooting at the range takes place from a third-person perspective.

The map in the new installment of the franchise will be much larger than the one in GTA: Vice City.
Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled for release on November 19 of this year on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles. Nothing has been reported yet regarding the release window for the PC version.
