LEGO opens pre-orders for Luigi and Mach 8 Kart set from the Mario Kart series
Set for release in April 2026, Mario Kart enthusiasts will be able to get their hands on a sophisticated new build from the LEGO Group. This 2,234-piece kit allows fans to reconstruct Luigi along with his iconic Mach 8 kart.
The LEGO Group is far from finished with the world of everyone’s favorite mustachioed plumber. The company has officially pulled back the curtain on its latest construction set, dedicated specifically to the high-speed Mario Kart racing franchise.
Pre-orders are now open for the “Luigi & Mach 8” set, which is priced at $179.99 and features a substantial 2,234-piece count.
The set builds into a detailed figure of Mario’s brother, featuring a posable head and arms, who sits confidently in the cockpit of the first-ever large-scale LEGO model of the Mach 8 kart.
Designed for both play and display, the kart can glide across surfaces or be mounted on its dedicated exhibition stand. A functional steering mechanism controls the front wheels, while spinning the rear tires triggers a realistic “flame” movement within the exhaust pipe.
According to the creators, the “Luigi & Mach 8” kit is the ultimate companion piece to the “LEGO Mario Kart: Mario & Standard Kart” set (offered separately), providing fans with everything they need to stage legendary head-to-head races between the brothers.
Shipping for the new set is scheduled to commence on April 1, 2026.
