Ayaneo Unveils Developer-Only Version of KONKR Pocket Advance Handheld
Ayaneo will offer a special Developer Edition colorway of its KONKR Pocket Advance handheld console exclusively to participants in its upcoming developer incentive program.
The company showcased the hardware during a broadcast dedicated to the KONKR Pocket Advance. The stream opened with an unusual, nearly two-hour neural network-generated video.
In the clip, Ayaneo CEO Arthur Zhang danced alongside Hideo Kojima, Shigeru Miyamoto, and other prominent game designers, with an uncensored version available online.
Roughly three hours into the livestream, the team revealed an additional design variant for the Pocket Advance, bringing the total number of color options to six.

This non-commercial version is not available to the general public. It is intended for creators who join Ayaneo’s new developer incentive initiative, which aims to assist retro gaming enthusiasts in building software front ends and applications specifically tailored to the brand’s devices.

The presentation focused largely on software, offering a preview of tools for building front ends, custom projects, games, and utilities. Developers can gain access to the program by contacting Ayaneo directly.

The Developer Edition unit appears to feature the same dark translucent shell as the retail Onyx Ice model, but adds red shoulder buttons, triggers, a red D-pad, and matching action buttons.
