Leaks Tease Episode Count and Streaming Details for Dragon Ball Super Beerus Remake
For the first time in years, the Dragon Ball franchise is absent from Jump Festa, the annual showcase hosted by manga publisher Shueisha. Combined with ongoing silence regarding a continuation of the Dragon Ball Super manga, this lack of presence creates uncertainty about the series. At the same time, Dragon Ball Super: Beerus launches this October as a new anime remake.
The upcoming anime offers very little new story content, but fans remain eager to watch the series return with enhanced visuals. Viewers have speculated about the episode count, the specific arcs covered, and international streaming options. A recent rumor may provide answers to these questions.
Crunchyroll could soon announce Dragon Ball Super: Beerus streaming details

On Sept. 28, the account @SugoiLITE shared on X that Dragon Ball Super: Beerus will consist of 19 episodes divided into three distinct arcs: the God of Destruction Beerus arc, Frieza’s Revival arc, and the Universe Six arc. Previous reports similarly pointed to roughly 20 episodes and these specific storylines. If verified, the weekly broadcast will run until February 2027. The post also claimed that Crunchyroll will stream the show one hour after its Japanese broadcast, though the platform has not confirmed this detail.
Although @SugoiLITE has a mixed history with leaks, the report gained traction when reposted by @Venixys, a Dragon Ball news account known for reliable information from private sources. In August, the person behind @Venixys announced they would stop sharing leaks to protect their own well-being and community standards, adding weight to their decision to share this specific update.
Crunchyroll served as the streaming home for the original Dragon Ball Super, yet the platform has remained silent regarding the remake. With the Japanese premiere less than two weeks away, this delay impacts promotional efforts. Crunchyroll’s fall anime schedule, published on Sept. 15, omits any mention of Dragon Ball Super: Beerus.
Dragon Ball Super: Beerus will be streaming on Prime Video in Japan

Recent developments offer a potential explanation for Crunchyroll’s silence. In Japan, Prime Video will stream episodes of Dragon Ball Super: Beerus 30 minutes after they air on Fuji TV. This marks a sharp contrast to the original Dragon Ball Super anime, which did not arrive on Prime Video in Japan until 2019, a full year after its conclusion. This domestic coup for Amazon suggests ongoing negotiations or competition regarding international distribution rights.
Regardless of whether Dragon Ball Super: Beerus streams on Crunchyroll, Prime Video, or another platform internationally, audience interest remains strong. If the three-arc structure proves accurate, the remake will cover events up to the Goku Black arc. Future seasons could subsequently adapt the Universe Survival arc and the Galactic Prisoner arc, eventually delivering completely new narrative content to viewers.
