KPop Demon Hunters Gets Criterion Collection 4K Release in November 2026
The Criterion Collection announced back in February that KPop Demon Hunters would receive a physical release. Now Criterion has shared new details about the package coming with the physical disc release of Netflix’s animated film.
The official listing on Criterion’s site features cover art by Ami Thompson. The illustration depicts Huntr/x members Rumi, Mira, and Zoey leaping into battle with weapons in hand. Geometric patterns in the background evoke the film’s mystical barrier known as the Honmoon. The physical release comes with a 4K UHD disc featuring Dolby Vision HDR and two Blu-rays containing the film and special features.

Special features include a feature-length animatic with an introduction from directors Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans. The release also includes a making-of documentary and two video essays by Taylor Ramos and Tony Zhou of Every Frame a Painting. A trailer for KPop Demon Hunters is included alongside lyric videos for each of the film’s songs. The Criterion release provides English subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing as well as English descriptive audio.

Physical goodies include several collectible postcards featuring original illustrations by artists who worked on the film. A physical essay by critic and former Polygon writer Karen Han is also included in the package.

The Criterion Collection edition of KPop Demon Hunters arrives on Nov. 3, and pre-orders are open now. The 4K and Blu-ray three-disc set costs $39.96, the two-disc Blu-ray set costs $31.96, and the two-disc DVD set costs $23.96. KPop Demon Hunters joins other Netflix releases in the Criterion Collection, which includes Alfonso Cuarón’s Roma, Martin Scorsese’s The Irishman, Jane Campion’s The Power of the Dog, Noah Baumbach’s Marriage Story, and Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein.
