YouTube Deletes Azur Lane Voice Actor’s Account Over Content Guidelines
Voice actress Hinata Yuki lost her YouTube channel, a move fans connect to gameplay footage from the Azur Lane franchise, which is known for its revealing character designs.
YouTube moderation continues to surprise users negatively. Recently, fans of Azur Lane noticed the removal of voice actress Hinata Yuki’s channel, which is being linked to gameplay demonstrations:
My YouTube channel with 250,000 subscribers was suddenly deleted. Oh no. There were so many precious memories of all of you there; I feel very lonely…

Hinata Yuki attempted to file an appeal, but YouTube rejected it. She specified that she only published video recordings of gameplay:
The channel exclusively hosted gameplay videos of the official mobile game Azur Lane (showing the costume change feature provided by the developers). Obviously, this is a false positive by the artificial intelligence system, which recognized ‘sexual content.’ Please have a human specialist conduct a manual review.
The voice actress is not giving up and hopes to reach YouTube. She is currently publishing content on Nicovideo, a Japanese video hosting and streaming platform.
Azur Lane features many revealing designs, so players are not surprised that YouTube’s AI moderator reacted to the gameplay footage.
