Kotamon Developers Fix Game and Release Comic About Steam Build Issue
Developer KotaMota Games has prepared updates for KOTAMON: My Sis Found A Super-Rare Card In Her Cereal Box, So I Became A Garbage Man To Find The Entire Collection And Earn $1,000,000, but encountered difficulties uploading the build.
KotaMota Games recently released another patch for the cozy simulator KOTAMON: My Sis Found A Super-Rare Card In Her Cereal Box, So I Became A Garbage Man To Find The Entire Collection And Earn $1,000,000. The developers introduced several fixes and improved the interface.
In this game, players search through heaps of garbage at a dump for collectible cards. Duplicates gradually accumulated, and some players immediately sold them while urging the developers to add an option to trade duplicate cards for an upgraded version. The issue is that this feature had already been in the game since launch.
The developers explained how this happened, noting that they did not have time to create a tutorial:
Actually, it was possible [to trade cards] right from the game’s release, but because we didn’t have time to make a tutorial for it, 99.9% of players didn’t even suspect this feature existed. Not only did we add a tutorial window that will tell new and old players about it, but we also added an indication for cards in the collection that are ready to be traded—now they are highlighted with a yellow frame and an arrow icon!
The developers reported that they increased the clarity of certain low-resolution cards, fixed a bug where Nyanji-Crunchy boxes disappeared upon purchasing and exiting or entering the store (cards drop from these boxes), and adjusted the drop rate for the cosplay suitcase.
The creators of KOTAMON also discussed an issue with uploading the build to Steam, dedicating a short comic to it:
This is pure developer pain, but we cannot help sharing it with you. Steam is an insanely cool platform for games, the best of all existing ones. Everything is convenient, fast, understandable… if you are a player. But how annoying is the glitchy build downloader, which 99 out of 100 times throws an error at the very end of the upload?!

Right now, the developers of KOTAMON: My Sis Found A Super-Rare Card In Her Cereal Box, So I Became A Garbage Man To Find The Entire Collection And Earn $1,000,000 are preparing for the release of Steam trading cards.
