Kadokawa Unveils Teaser for Season 2 of “Witches in Uniform”
Tanya the Evil makes a return after nine years.
Kadokawa has unveiled the first teaser for the second season of the anime often referred to as “Witches in Uniform,” also known internationally as “The Saga of Tanya the Evil” and “The Military Chronicle of a Little Girl.” A new poster accompanied the teaser, and the studio confirmed the sequel is slated for release in 2026 — nine years after the original season premiered.
The anime adapts Carlo Zen’s light novel, with illustrations by Shinobu Shinotsuki, and follows an office worker who is reborn as Tanya Degurechaff, a young soldier in an alternate, war-torn version of Europe.
Takayuki Yamamoto has been named director for the second season; he previously worked as an episode director on My Hero Academia. Yamamoto succeeds Yutaka Uemura, while studio NUT — known for works such as Blue Giant and Deca-Dence — will once again handle production.
No exact premiere date has been announced yet.
