The KPop Demon Hunters phenomenon shows no signs of slowing. Netflix has named both Mattel and Hasbro as co-master toy licensees for the animated franchise — a rare arrangement between two long-time rivals and a clear indicator of how valuable the property remains months after its June release.
Under the agreements, Mattel and Hasbro will roll out an extensive array of products: toys, collectibles, games, and role-play lines. Hasbro’s divisions — from Hasbro Games to Wizards of the Coast, Furby, and Nerf — suggest possibilities ranging from board and party games to collectible card or tabletop tie-ins. Fans have already speculated about Magic: The Gathering or Dungeons & Dragons crossovers; while those ideas are tantalizing, they remain unconfirmed at this time.
What is confirmed: Hasbro will release Monopoly Deal: KPop Demon Hunters, now available for pre-order at major retailers including Amazon, Target, and Walmart, with shipments scheduled to begin on January 1, 2026. Pre-order details are live as of this announcement.
“KPop Demon Hunters is a global pop-culture force that dovetails with our roster of iconic brands and our focus on creative play,” Tim Kilpin, Hasbro’s president of toy, licensing, and entertainment, said in the company statement. He added that the partnership with Netflix will extend the film’s world into physical play experiences that combine narrative and fandom.
Mattel’s planned output spans dolls, action figures, accessories, collectibles, playsets, and strategic co-brand collaborations. Through Mattel Creations, the company has opened a pre-sale for a three-pack of Huntr/x dolls; the collection goes on sale November 12, with orders slated to ship in 2026. Fans can sign up and view the pre-sale offering on Mattel Creations’ site. Mattel Creations pre-sale.
Roberto Stanichi, Mattel’s chief global brand officer, said the company is excited to celebrate the film’s breakout characters and will leverage its design and marketing capabilities to create a wide slate of products for global fans.
Given how ubiquitous the film quickly became, the merchandising wave feels inevitable in hindsight. Tracks like “Golden” have stormed streaming charts and reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, while the fictional girl group Huntr/x has performed on national television, including appearances on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and Saturday Night Live.
The movie is currently Netflix’s most-watched film to date, accumulating roughly 443 million hours viewed and about 266 million total views since its release — figures that surpassed the prior record-holder, the 2021 action-comedy Red Notice.
With sequel discussions already underway, the franchise’s expansion into toys, games, and other consumer products looks poised to continue.
