Journalists Say Jeff Keighley Hinted at a Divinity: Original Sin 3 Announcement with His Mysterious Statue

An official reveal will most likely occur during The Game Awards 2025.

A mysterious, infernal statue placed in the Mojave Desert by Jeff Keighley — which has been teasing audiences since late November — now appears to be linked to a new entry in Larian Studios’ Divinity franchise.

MP1st was the first outlet to spot three fresh trademark applications filed in Europe on Tuesday. One is for the name Divinity and includes a logo and stylized emblems that match the motif seen atop the statue. The other two filings contain similar icons: one depicts a figure ensnared in a web, while the other is almost an exact reproduction of the statue’s symbol. All three applications share the same legal representative — the law firm IHDE & Partner Rechtsanwälte — which has previously handled Larian’s European trademark matters.

The Divinity application covers computer and video games, books, apparel, tabletop games and other entertainment services. While the owner isn’t explicitly named, the overlap is too striking to be mere coincidence.
