Jacob Elordi to Star in New Film Alongside Scarlett Johansson
Euphoria breakout star Jacob Elordi is reportedly in talks to join the cast of Scapegoat, the highly anticipated upcoming feature from Midsommar director Ari Aster.
Scarlett Johansson is already confirmed to headline the project. Early plot reports suggest the narrative will center on a surgeon whose life unravels after a prominent patient dies on the operating table, leading the victim’s wife and brother to launch a ruthless public campaign against her.
While some insiders describe the film as a grounded drama, others suggest it may lean into the realm of romantic sci-fi. A24 is slated to handle distribution in the United States, though an official release date has yet to be finalized.
Elordi has had a banner year, earning critical acclaim and an Oscar nomination for his role in Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein, alongside a standout performance in the adaptation of Wuthering Heights opposite Margot Robbie. Looking ahead, he is set to star in Ridley Scott’s sci-fi epic Dog Star later this summer.
