Is Sony About to Drop PC Ports for Single‑Player Games? Windows Central Editor Alarmed Players — Now Denies the Claim

Players were once again put through an emotional roller coaster.

Windows Central editor Jez Corden is regarded within the gaming community as a fairly reliable source, so his recent comment drew heightened attention — especially since it touched on an atypical subject for him: Sony rather than Xbox and Microsoft.

According to him, Sony may be rethinking its approach to PC ports of its titles, potentially returning to the practice of launching games as PlayStation 5 exclusives:

It seems the [results] of PlayStation’s PC releases didn’t make much of an impression on them.

Shortly afterward, Jez Corden spoke to the community and clarified that his remarks were speculative and shouldn’t be taken as an insider leak:

I want to stress that these were fuzzy rumors, just discussion and conjecture on a podcast — not a formal report or a leak! […] I don’t cover PlayStation as a beat and shouldn’t be treated as a source for information beyond basic opinions/speculation, unless it’s related to Windows Central. My focus is Xbox/Microsoft.
