The fight against Denuvo DRM continues, and there have been some notable successes.
Recently the enigmatic hacker voices38 managed to break Denuvo in FIFA 20, and has now announced another success. Once again he turned his attention to an Electronic Arts title.
This time he bypassed the protection on Star Wars Squadrons (2020). The developers had implemented not only Denuvo DRM but also an “EA + EasyAntiCheat” layer.
The tech enthusiast noted that “Denuvo has changed completely since 2020.” Nevertheless, he says he plans to keep working on cracking games.
Uncracked 2020 releases still include titles such as FIFA 21, Madden NFL 21, and Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered.
One community member suggested that breaking Denuvo in Persona 5 Royal (2022) might take more than a year, to which voices38 replied: “Are you sure about that?”.
