With the official debut of Unreal Engine 5.6, we are thrilled to announce that inZOI is currently transitioning to this latest technical framework. To provide our community with an early look at these advancements, we are opening a public beta branch ahead of the official engine rollout.
Primary Objectives
By launching this beta phase, we aim to rigorously test the core features of Unreal Engine 5.6. Our focus is on validating performance optimizations, refining stability, and addressing potential crashes to ensure a seamless experience for all players.
Availability Schedule
- Start Date: Thursday, March 5, 2026
- Duration: Active until the official engine update is deployed to the live branch.

How to Participate
Joining the test branch is simple. Just follow these steps:
- Open your Steam Library and locate inZOI.
- Right-click the title and select Properties.
- Navigate to the Betas (Game Versions) menu.
- Select next_engine from the list of available branches.
Once selected, Steam will automatically begin downloading the beta build.
Reporting Issues and Feedback
Your technical data is vital to our progress. Any crashes encountered during this testing phase will be automatically transmitted to the inZOI development team for comprehensive analysis.
Important Reminders
- Branch Switching: You may revert to the main live branch at any time.
- Save Compatibility: Save files generated within the beta branch remain fully compatible with the main game.
- Mod Support: Due to structural version changes, mods are currently disabled in the beta branch. Full mod support will be restored upon the live release.
