Hand-picked from a diverse national talent pool, the five musicians selected for the BMAC x America250 “Voices of Tomorrow” program exemplify artistic independence and community-driven creativity. This eclectic group—traversing the boundaries of country, R&B, hip-hop, and funk—is united by a shared commitment to authentic storytelling and forging unconventional career paths. As these artists balance independent ventures with musical evolution, they offer a compelling preview of the future landscape of Black music.
“As we approach the nation’s 250th anniversary, it is vital that we consider who is shaping our cultural future,” says Willie “Prophet” Stiggers, co-founder and CEO of BMAC. “These creators are more than mere performers; they are visionaries, cultural architects, and storytellers. By highlighting their work, BMAC aims to celebrate the profound impact of Black music as a cornerstone of American connection and truth.”
In preparation for the upcoming Juneteenth festivities, the cohort will convene in New York City for an immersive week of mentorship, strategic networking, and creative development workshops designed to accelerate their professional trajectories.
