Gather a room full of elite athletes, introduce a competitive gaming setup, and they will naturally play to win. That was precisely the energy at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s star-studded wedding earlier this July, where the newlyweds surprised guests—including NFL star Rob Gronkowski—with an immersive arcade experience.

In an exclusive interview published on Thursday, July 30, the former New England Patriots tight end opened up about the festivities and how the unique gaming system operated. Reflecting on the celebration, Gronkowski shared how much he enjoyed the competitive element:

“What was really cool was that you had to actually play the games in order to secure your raffle tickets. It wasn’t just handed out; you had to earn every single ticket, and that’s what made it so engaging and endlessly entertaining.”

Gronk confirmed that conquering the various arcade stations allowed attendees to enter high-stakes giveaways. “I was determined to win something special for my partner, Camille Kostek,” he added, praising the merit-based approach.

The high-profile ceremony took place on July 3 at New York City’s iconic Madison Square Garden, bringing together roughly 1,000 guests to witness the couple exchange vows. The unforgettable evening featured Adam Sandler officiating the proceedings alongside surprise live performances by legendary artists Paul McCartney and Stevie Nicks.

Reports previously highlighted the extravagant raffle catalog, which featured luxury designer handbags and a vintage 1970s Chevrolet Chevelle—reminiscent of the getaway car Swift and Kelce famously drove after their public outing at a Chiefs-Bears game in 2023. Jackie Tranquill, married to Kelce’s teammate Drue Tranquill, later celebrated taking home a coveted Chanel purse from the raffle.

Since tying the knot, the couple has maintained a relatively private schedule, making their sole public appearance on July 10 at teammate JuJu Smith-Schuster’s wedding. As Kelce prepares for his milestone 14th season with the Kansas City Chiefs following the opening of training camps, Swift continues to celebrate the widespread success of her Billboard Hot 100 chart-topping soundtrack contribution for Toy Story 5, “I Knew It, I Knew You.”
