Desert Hearts Returns With Intimate Microfest After Pausing Flagship Festival

Following a temporary hiatus for their flagship event this year, beloved underground institution Desert Hearts is staging an intimate comeback this autumn.

The visionary house and techno collective has officially unveiled Microfest, a brand-new five-day gathering scheduled for early October in Northern California’s scenic Deloro Valley. This boutique experience aims to recapture the close-knit, immersive atmosphere that originally propelled Desert Hearts into the spotlight over a decade ago, welcoming passionate revellers back to the community-driven dancefloors that forged their enduring legacy.

This exciting development arrives on the heels of their announcement last November regarding the pause of the traditional Desert Hearts Festival 2026. In a heartfelt Instagram statement, the crew shared: “After 13 years of magic, love, and dancing under the stars, we’ve made the tough call to pause Desert Hearts Festival in 2026. This isn’t goodbye – but it’s time to reset, refocus, and rebuild so the heartbeat of DH can keep going strong for years to come.”

True to their word, the organizers are returning with a meticulously curated lineup blending seasoned house and techno icons alongside cherished members of the extended Desert Hearts family. Headliners feature standout performances from DJ Minx, Stacey Pullen, Danny Daze, Doc Martin, Justin Martin, DJ Holographic, Kevin Knapp, Shaded (Live), Toy Tonics (Barbara Boeing & Cody Currie), and Life On Planets. Naturally, collective founders Mikey Lion, Lee Reynolds, Marbs, and Porky will also command the decks throughout the weekend.

The extensive roster of talent is rounded out by B Rose, Brunch Life, Caleb Jackson, Groovewell, Issac Carter, Jake Mora, Justin Campbell, Maitreya, Rob Grega, Sprout, Stacy Christine, and Techno Tupac. Check out the complete, genre-spanning lineup below.

Accompanying the lineup drop is brand-new auditory artistry from the founding members. Mikey Lion, Marbs, and Lee Reynolds have joined forces under a newly consolidated Desert Hearts moniker to release “A Place For Us,” a hypnotic track that encapsulates the profound sense of belonging and kinship defining the brand’s culture.

Microfest will take place from October 1st to the 5th in Deloro Valley, California. Passes are currently on sale.
