Insider Reports Apocalypse Will Appear in New X-Men and Serve as Main Villain of Next Marvel Phase
Marvel previously considered Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson for the role.
Marvel Studios plans to make Apocalypse the main antagonist of the cinematic universe’s next phase, according to insider MyTimeToShineHello. The source also compared Marvel Studios’ plans to the narrative progression in Insomniac’s upcoming Marvel’s Wolverine:
“It’s funny how similar Insomniac and the MCU’s paths are. In the upcoming Wolverine game, Mister Sinister serves as the villain and works for Apocalypse. The latter only appears as a voice before being introduced as the antagonist of a future X-Men game. In the MCU’s X-Men reboot, Mister Sinister also works for Apocalypse. Reportedly, the latter will get a cameo that sets him up as the main villain of the next saga.”
