Indie alternative to SnowRunner and Expeditions will not be PC-only — Over the Hill coming to consoles
The project is now officially slated for release on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2. The developers released a new teaser to coincide with the announcement — until now the studio had only mentioned a PC version.
It’s been confirmed that physical editions for PS5 and Switch 2 are planned; these will be published by Serenity Forge.
There’s no firm release date yet. On October 13 the developers said progress on the project is steady, but the team is not ready to provide an exact launch day.
Over the Hill is often compared to SnowRunner and Expeditions — players will pilot off-road vehicles, tackle demanding terrain, and explore untamed landscapes. The developers say they will share more gameplay details at a later date.
