The gaming community remains embroiled in a debate over the protagonist’s bald aesthetic in Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet. Unimpressed by the creative direction, some players have begun circulating reimagined versions of the character to better suit their tastes.

God of War mastermind David Jaffe caught wind of these fan edits and didn’t hesitate to launch a scathing critique against the vocal detractors:

One commenter challenged the current industry trends, asking: “Why is there a persistent push from Western developers to make female characters look unattractive? While not everyone is a supermodel, they don’t have to be plain either. By that logic, why wasn’t Kratos depicted as out-of-shape?”
