House of the Dragon Season 3 Has Concluded

The season finale of the third installment of House of the Dragon has officially aired on HBO and HBO Max.

As a prequel to Game of Thrones, the series draws inspiration from George R.R. Martin’s chronicle Fire & Blood. Set two centuries prior to the events of the original show, the narrative centers on the brutal power struggle for the Iron Throne between two rival factions of the Targaryen dynasty: the “Blacks,” led by Queen Rhaenyra (Emma D’Arcy), and the “Greens,” spearheaded by the House Hightower alliance.

The ensemble cast features performances by Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, James Norton, and others. The third season spans eight episodes in total and has earned critical acclaim, currently holding a 92% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The network has confirmed that the fourth season will serve as the show’s conclusion.
