The supernatural series “Hornets” is set to finish with its fourth season, the show’s creators have revealed. The writing team is presently hard at work on the scripts for the upcoming season. According to reports, the decision to end the series at season four was influenced by the drama “The Heirs” concluding around the same time.
“Hornets” plays out across two separate decades — the ’80s and the ’20s. In the earlier timeline, an all-girls high-school soccer team crashes in the thick Canadian woods and struggles to survive. In the later timeline, the women who survived the plane disaster face a frightening evil from their past.
Season three of “Hornets” became the most-watched season in the show’s history.
