Horizon Online Announcement Imminent — New Multiplayer PlayStation Game (Rumor)
Rumors suggest Sony and Guerrilla Games are set to unveil Horizon Online, a multiplayer title connected to Aloy’s adventures. The official reveal is reportedly scheduled for next week at G-STAR 2025, South Korea’s largest gaming showcase.
Longstanding speculation points to an online experience situated in the Horizon Zero Dawn and Forbidden West universe — an ambitious effort intended to combine open-world exploration and the series’ mechanical-beast encounters with Monster Hunter–style multiplayer mechanics. South Korean powerhouse NCSoft, famed for MMOs like Lineage and Blade & Soul, is said to have been brought on by Sony to collaborate on the new live-service project.
A NeoGAF thread reports that the clues originate from NCSoft’s official website, where a “secret” project appears among the titles the company plans to exhibit at G-STAR. Given the other confirmed entries — Time Takers, Cinder City, Aion 2 and Limit Zero Breakers — many observers argue the hidden announcement could very well be Horizon Online.
If the reports are accurate, Horizon Online would mark a significant milestone in Sony’s live-service strategy. The matter should be resolved at G-STAR 2025.
