HBO Max to Launch Podcast Accompanying Harry Potter Series Reboot

A similar official show currently accompanies the first season of Lanterns.

HBO Max will relaunch its official podcast about Harry Potter ahead of the series premiere. Harry Potter: The Official Film Podcast will change its name to Harry Potter: The Official Series Podcast and shift its focus from discussing the films to the upcoming adaptation.

Following the premiere, the hosts will break down a new episode of Harry Potter each week, share their impressions, and chat with cast and crew members.

Rianna Dillon will remain as host, joined by Loh Sharma. The first announced guest for the revamped podcast is David Heyman, who produced the Harry Potter films and serves as an executive producer on the series.

A similar official after-show currently accompanies the first season of Lanterns. Host Juju Green, known online as Straw Hat Goofy, breaks down each episode of the HBO series alongside members of the production crew.

Harry Potter premieres on December 25.
