Harry Potter star Evanna Lynch gets married

Evanna Lynch, best remembered for her enchanting portrayal of Luna Lovegood in the Harry Potter film series, has married French gardener Denis Skinner. The intimate ceremony took place on August 21 at the Islington Town Hall in London, attended by a select group of approximately 20 close friends and family members. Following the registry office proceedings, the newlyweds hosted a celebratory reception at the historic Wilton’s Music Hall.

Lynch and Skinner first crossed paths in 2021 at a London bar where he was employed as a bartender. The couple became engaged in 2023. According to the actress, Skinner’s initial proposal occurred during a spat, though he later followed up with a far more romantic gesture amidst nature.

For her wedding ensemble, Lynch opted for a vintage 1949 skirt paired with a bespoke corset by Moira Hughes. Skinner donned a green velvet suit complemented by sustainable footwear, reflecting his commitment to environmental conservation.

The actress also shared that they sought the guidance of a Vedic astrologer to select their wedding date. While the pair had originally aimed for August 22, the date was unavailable, leading them to move the nuptials up by one day.

For their first dance, the couple chose Graham Nash’s “Our House.” Their dog, Malo, was in attendance for the festivities, and in a unique twist on tradition, Lynch presented her husband with a pendant featuring one of their dog’s baby teeth instead of a standard wedding band.
