Rockstar’s classic has received visual enhancements, but not every PC can cope with this build.
The creator behind the MxBenchmarkPC YouTube channel recently put a ray-traced version of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City through its paces.
With ray tracing enabled, the game’s visuals are noticeably transformed, but that fidelity comes with a heavy performance penalty.
The ray-traced run of GTA: Vice City was performed on a PC equipped with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 GPU paired with an Intel Core i7-14700F processor.
At 4K with NVIDIA DLSS 4 set to Performance mode, the framerate plunged by roughly 200 FPS.
