New details emerged from a conversation between Mike Straw and Rockstar co-head Rob Nelson during a GTA VI showcase. The studio representative confirmed that Jason and Lucia can break up. At the same time, their shared story will not end, as the characters will remain partners in the criminal underworld and continue to complete missions together.

The player will decide whether the relationship remains romantic or becomes strictly professional. Rockstar previously reported that maintaining a healthy relationship will require some effort, though the system will remain optional and should not heavily impact the game’s playthrough.

Toxic relationships are also possible in GTA VI. The player will have to decide whether to tell their partner about a specific event or keep it a secret. Honesty can lead to immediate consequences, while hidden truths can cause even bigger problems if the partner finds out later.
