GTA 6 Trailer Footage Compared to Real-Life Miami Locations
Joel Franco, who previously delighted viewers with another video comparison, drove through the streets featured in the gameplay trailer and vividly demonstrated just how accurate the game world is. While he may not be particularly familiar with the franchise’s lore (for example, he doesn’t know about Fleeca Bank), he certainly knows his way around Florida.
The virtual tour reveals just how closely everything is located to one another. Lucia’s apartment, whose real-life counterpart was demolished a couple of years ago, is located not far from the island where the protagonists and Raul Bautista lose the police and ditch their car.
This is no longer simply a matter of adding recognizable places to a video game, as it is essentially a virtual copy of the city with entire neighborhoods retaining their real-world locations, including their positions relative to one another.
