Greta Gerwig’s Narnia Delayed to 2027

Netflix has rescheduled Greta Gerwig’s upcoming adaptation of The Chronicles of Narnia, moving its release from 2026 to 2027, according to Deadline.

The film serves as an adaptation of “The Magician’s Nephew,” which serves as the chronological starting point of C.S. Lewis’s beloved literary series. The movie is slated for a wide international theatrical release on February 10, 2027, with IMAX screenings included, followed by its debut on the streaming platform on April 2, 2027.

The cast for “The Magician’s Nephew” features Daniel Craig, Carey Mulligan, Emma Mackey, David McKenna (“Lord of the Flies”), and Beatrice Campbell. Meryl Streep provides the voice for Aslan the Lion. Set in post-war England, the story explores the origin tale behind the creation of the magical realm of Narnia.
