Steve Gaynor returns with a new project under the Fullbright banner.
Fullbright, the studio known for Gone Home and Tacoma, has announced a new title called Springs, Eternal — an atmospheric narrative adventure rendered in a lo-fi style.
Players will visit a mysterious mountain resort where souls caught between life and death congregate. There they’ll meet dozens of characters — from philosophers engaged in endless debate to a tattoo artist who offers to “ink your future.” Their stories unfold through branching conversations that gradually reveal the resort’s secrets and its links to the protagonist’s past. Despite the somber visuals and pervasive fog, the creator describes the experience as “soothing and humane.”
Following controversy and allegations of workplace toxicity, Steve Gaynor became the sole remaining member of Fullbright. Since then he released the experimental Toilet Spiders, and Springs, Eternal will be his next independent project.
Springs, Eternal is expected to launch on PC via Steam in 2026. No exact release date has been announced yet.
