“Glee” may be getting a reboot

Ryan Murphy, the mastermind behind the musical phenomenon Glee, has revealed he is contemplating a revival of the beloved series to resonate with a new generation.

“It’s something I’ve been giving some serious thought to. So many people in their twenties grew up with the show and found it deeply meaningful, just as the music left a lasting impact on them. Why not explore that? For me, it always comes down to the narrative. What is the story? Is it one I want to tell right now? Sometimes, I prefer to let things simmer,”

First premiering on Fox in 2009, Glee chronicled the lives of a ragtag group of high school outcasts finding their voices in a glee club led by instructor Will Schuester, played by Matthew Morrison. The series spanned six successful seasons and evolved into a sprawling multimedia franchise, spawning concert tours, feature films, and more.

Murphy recently premiered his latest project, Grotesquerie, on Hulu, inspired by the works of Bret Easton Ellis (American Psycho). Additionally, the thirteenth season of his long-running anthology series, American Horror Story, is slated for release this September.
