Genshin Impact disables microtransactions and removes PS4 version from PlayStation Store

Support for the popular title on legacy hardware is officially being phased out.

The developers of Genshin Impact recently unveiled the 6.4 update, titled “Moon V. Song of the Hollow Moon: Variation – Return of the Windcatcher,” while issuing a final reminder that the game will soon reach its end-of-life on the PlayStation 4 console.

miHoYo (HoYoverse) has confirmed that the PS4 edition of Genshin Impact has already been delisted from the PlayStation Store, and all in-game microtransactions for the platform have been disabled.

Players who currently have the game in their library can still download updates and continue playing on their PS4 systems for the time being.

Once the “Moon V” cycle concludes in April 2026, the PlayStation 4 version of Genshin Impact will cease to receive any further content or technical updates. HoYoverse strongly encourages users to migrate their accounts to PlayStation 5 or other supported devices to ensure uninterrupted access.
