“Furies” renewed for a second season
Hulu has officially greenlit a second season of the crime thriller series Angelyne, according to industry reports.
The show, featuring Shameless standout Emmy Rossum, premiered in late July. The narrative follows FBI agent Alice Black (Rossum) as she tracks down a cold-blooded assassin named Catherine (Lola Petticrew). The elusive killer specifically targets wealthy, powerful men, eventually leading to a complex and dangerous entanglement between the two women.
Inspired by the 1987 noir thriller Black Widow, the series has garnered widespread critical acclaim, currently boasting a 98% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. While a specific release date for the sophomore season has yet to be determined, the finale of the first season is scheduled to air on Hulu on August 31.
