Fortnite Turns into a Full-Blown Horror: New Map and Cult-Favorite Characters

Fortnite’s Halloween season is underway. Fortnitemares 2025 brings a truly chilling vibe and large-scale crossovers. The island now features Jason Voorhees, Ghostface, Wednesday Addams, and the Scooby-Doo gang. Headlining the event is Mother of Thorns — a demonic alter ego of Doja Cat who serves as the event’s centerpiece.

The “Reload” mode introduces the “Nightmare Island” map, filled with haunting locales such as the Cursed Village and the Towers of Terror. These areas are crafted for players who want to soak in the Halloween atmosphere and face terrifying foes.

Viewers aren’t forgotten — by watching Fortnite streams on Twitch you can claim exclusive cosmetics: the Treat Backpack and the Treat Pickaxe.
