Former Rockstar Employee Reveals Early Red Dead Redemption Build — Old UI and Test Level
Red Dead Redemption wasn’t built overnight — a chance has surfaced to glimpse one of the game’s early builds.
Recently, Red Dead Redemption fans noticed the ArtStation profile of an environment artist who once worked at Rockstar.
Jason Muck previously uploaded several dozen images from an early build of the original RDR — players have now discovered and are examining them.
Some of the shots show a prototype user interface that differs from the released game: the icon set follows a different style and the radar’s border is considerably thicker.

The artist also revealed a test level populated with basic props and a variety of in-game models from Red Dead Redemption:
