Flying Hopper Enemies From the Film Added to Starship Troopers: Extermination
Offworld has released Update 13 for its co-op shooter Starship Troopers: Extermination, and it brings a new enemy to the game. The studio says the update also adds new content, fixes various bugs and improves the user interface.
The new threat is the Hoppers, an arachnid type that attacks the Starship Troopers from the air. The large flying units are described as “fast, deadly, and able to carry off a fully equipped soldier.” Players will need to work together to stop their squadmates from being abducted.
The developers have also added a shooting range and a new tutorial.
Two DLC bundles are now on sale. The Sparta Supporter Pack includes armor, a medal and other cosmetic items, and the Gore Supporter Pack has a similar set of contents. For the game’s third anniversary, Offworld has also released a free cosmetic set called “Third Wave.”
