First Comparison of Assassin’s Creed Shadows on Nintendo Switch 2 and PS5 Pro Surfaces
Nintendo and Ubisoft are gearing up for a major release — Assassin’s Creed Shadows is coming to the Nintendo Switch 2. The first side-by-side comparison with the PlayStation 5 Pro version has surfaced online.
This December, Ubisoft will transport players to feudal Japan. The game is already available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, and it will also arrive on Nintendo’s new console.
A comparison of the Switch 2 and PS5 Pro builds has appeared online, currently limited to screenshots captured on the different platforms. To preserve stable performance, developers lowered shadow fidelity, draw distance, and environmental detail. Despite these trade-offs, the visual style and atmosphere remain consistent, and the game world stays fully open.
The Switch 2 edition of Assassin’s Creed Shadows will both test the system and serve as a showcase for the new console’s capabilities.
