Final Fantasy Resonance: Every Vision and How to Unlock Them

Comment Views: 3

Visions in Final Fantasy Resonance are the physical embodiment of heroic memories. Some come from the world where the story unfolds, and others come from different dimensions. Most are protagonists from earlier Final Fantasy titles, but the roster also includes a handful of original characters. Collecting Visions is essential if you want to put together the strongest possible builds for every party member.

To make that easier, this guide explains how to unlock every Vision in Final Fantasy Resonance. It also includes a table with the key details for each one.

How Visions Work in Final Fantasy Resonance

Each Vision is a distinct collection of skills that you can equip to round out a character’s abilities. Every Vision also falls under one of the game’s five roles: sentinel, commando, breaker, saboteur, or medic. A Vision’s role shapes its skills and decides which characters it pairs with best. Each character can carry only one Vision at a time, but you can swap them freely whenever you’re not in combat.

Visions aren’t playable units, so they don’t get their own turns in battle. To use their skills, open the Vision tab in the battle menu. To strengthen a Vision’s skills, you awaken it with one of three kinds of magicite: magicite shards, magicite, or magicite crysts.

Visions also offer more than their battle skills. They unlock a second set of abilities known as “mastery bonuses.” Once earned, these bonuses stay available for a character to equip, even after that character switches to another Vision. To unlock them, win battles with the Vision equipped so the character gains mastery points and raises their Mastery Rank. Each mastery bonus skill costs ability points to equip. Mastery Ranks aren’t shared across characters, so you’ll have to level the same Vision separately on each character who uses it.

All Vision Locations in Final Fantasy Resonance

You can gain new Visions by discovering their sanctums or finishing side quests. Neither approach is difficult, but story progress gates your access to Visions. Some side quests, for instance, only appear once you reach a certain chapter. Sephiroth is the one exception, since you have to defeat him in battle to claim him as a Vision. You can revisit earlier regions at any time to pick up Visions you missed. Even so, it’s worth prioritizing them, because they’re a big help throughout the campaign.

Here are all 26 Visions and how to unlock each one:
