Final Fantasy Resonance’s Denuvo Protection Cracked Within a Day
Hacker ARTIFACT has announced a crack for Final Fantasy Resonance. The game appears to use an older version of the Denuvo DRM for now.
Final Fantasy Resonance recently launched on consoles and PC. Square Enix protected the game with the notorious Denuvo, as it usually does.
Hackers have learned to crack and bypass Denuvo in the past, but they have run into problems lately. For example, Star Wars: Galactic Racer, which launched in early October, used an improved version of Denuvo, and the usual hypervisor-based bypass method did not work.
Users now report that Final Fantasy Resonance apparently uses the previous version of Denuvo, so the protection did not hold for long.
The hacker known as ARTIFACT announced the release of a crack for the game. It is not yet a full crack like the one from voices38, and ARTIFACT bypasses the protection with a hypervisor. An experimental version is currently available, and the hacker acknowledges that players may encounter a BSOD.
ARTIFACT had been absent for some time. The hacker explained that the tools needed improvement: “Denuvo made changes that require additional work before new releases.”

Early Steam reviews of the PC version of Final Fantasy Resonance are “Overwhelmingly Positive.” The game holds a 96% rating after its first 2,000 reviews.
