Famous Streamer and Pro Gamer Urges Denying Expedition 33 the “Game of the Year” Title in Favor of ARC Raiders

Also vying for the title are Hades 2, Hollow Knight: Silksong, Blue Prince, Split Fiction and several other well-known games.

Popular streamer and former CS:GO pro Michael “Shroud” Grzesiek, barely a week after ARC Raiders launched, has been actively campaigning for Embark Studios’ extraction shooter to claim Game of the Year at The Game Awards 2025.

We need to make sure it takes the Game of the Year crown. Do not—under any circumstances—let that Expedition win. Absolutely not. We multiplayer fans are in the minority, but I believe we can come out on top. I’ve never voted for anything before, but this year I think I’ll cast my vote for this game.
Michael “Shroud” Grzesiek, streamer and esports athlete.

By “that Expedition” the esports athlete is referring to Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 from Sandfall Interactive.
