Andenes in Euro Truck Simulator 2: Nordic Horizons

SCS Software presented Andenes on 6 May 2025 as one of the Norwegian locations in the Nordic Horizons map expansion for Euro Truck Simulator 2. The town stands at the northern end of Andøya and has about 2,500 residents according to the studio’s preview. Its compact size still leaves room for a varied drive: the approach follows the exposed coast before entering residential streets and the port district.

Several landmarks give the in-game town a clear identity. Andenes Lighthouse was built in 1859, and SCS describes it as the fourth-tallest lighthouse in Norway. Andøya Air Station, which opened in the 1950s, occupies another recognizable part of the landscape. The local church, low houses and working harbour complete the route through the settlement without turning it into a dense urban area.

Freight work reflects the businesses named in the original preview. Drivers can reach a port logistics depot, a supermarket and a building-materials store. Those destinations spread deliveries between the waterfront and the streets behind it. SCS’s screenshots also show tight corners beside houses, open stretches by the sea, mountain backdrops and the industrial edge of the harbour.

Nordic Horizons was released on 27 November 2025. The finished expansion contains 40 cities, 30 scenic towns or smaller settlements and more than 200 depots. Andenes belongs to that released map, so the May preview now documents the design of an available location rather than an expansion that is still waiting to launch.
