Even a Leaked LEGO Set Doesn’t Reveal Who Sadie Sink Is Playing in Spider-Man: Brand New Day

While the debut trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day showcased a rogues’ gallery of threats facing Peter Parker (Tom Holland), a lingering mystery surrounding the role of Stranger Things breakout Sadie Sink remains. Fans often look to merchandise for clues, but a recent leaked Lego set surfacing on Reddit offers little clarity on her casting—though it does paint a worrying picture for Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo).

The set highlights Spider-Man clashing with iconic adversaries like Boomerang, Tarantula, and Scorpion within a Department of Damage Control facility. Given the trailer’s depiction of a psychic force jumping between agents after the release of a mysterious captive, some theorists believe Sink could be portraying the legendary Jean Grey. Curiously, the Lego iteration of the scene omits a character resembling Sink, featuring only an incidental hot dog vendor caught in the crossfire. Perhaps she’s destined for a possession arc of her own?

Further complicating matters, the set features a visibly enraged Hulk, casting doubt on the stability Banner achieved in Avengers: Endgame, where he finally harmonized his intellect with his brute strength. While the design might simply be a stylistic choice, the presence of an unstable Hulk suggests he could be weaponized by a rogue psychic, much like the manipulation seen in Avengers: Age of Ultron. For Spidey, battling a feral Hulk while simultaneously navigating his own disturbing biological mutations would certainly raise the stakes to a breaking point.

While the Lego set might be light on definitive plot spoilers, its appeal to collectors is undeniable. The fervor for these tie-ins is high; dedicated fans previously wreaked havoc at retail stores last September, swiftly clearing shelves of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse mini-figures long before their official launch.
