ETS2 Update 1.61: Livestock Trailer Rework

The highly anticipated 1.61 update for Euro Truck Simulator 2 is bringing a comprehensive overhaul to the Livestock Trailer. Our vehicle department has meticulously rebuilt this asset from the ground up, and we are eager to showcase the meticulous craftsmanship behind these enhancements.

Our primary objective was to achieve unparalleled realism, ensuring the virtual model mirrors its real-world European counterparts with absolute precision. By moving away from the aging previous model, we have developed a high-fidelity replacement that elevates the standard of visual authenticity in-game.

Eagle-eyed drivers will immediately notice the retirement of the older belly axle variant. In its place, we have introduced a contemporary lowered chassis configuration equipped with dual wheels. These structural adjustments are complemented by refined proportions and a sophisticated, modern aesthetic that looks superb on the highway.

Players who choose to add the Livestock Trailer to their personal fleet gain access to a versatile suite of customization features. You can now toggle between a Straight 3-Axle or a Lowered 3-Axle setup, and select your preferred finish, ranging from a rugged Aluminium look to a fully paintable body that matches your company colors.

To further personalize your rig, we have expanded the accessory catalog. You can now equip your trailer with a variety of utility items, including functional storage lockers, water tanks, protective side skirts, detailed fenders, customizable marker lights, distinct rear bumpers, mudflaps, fire extinguishers, and a mounted spare tire.

Furthermore, we are rolling out a new paint scheme system for owned trailers, providing four distinct color zones for deep personalization. The AI traffic variants and Freight Market jobs have also been updated to utilize this new model, with company liveries redesigned to mimic authentic, real-world transport operations more accurately.
