Escape from Tarkov Lands in Steam’s Top 20 Worst Games as Duck Parody Outpaces It in Players and Ratings
The parody title Escape from Duckov has, for many players, managed to eclipse Battlestate Games’ original.
Escape from Tarkov’s Steam release was greeted by a wave of negative reviews triggered by technical issues. That backlash caused a sharp drop in Battlestate Games’ rating, putting it squarely in the “red zone.”
The volume of negative feedback was so large that the extraction shooter landed among Steam’s 20 lowest-rated games by user score — sitting at number 19, between Hawken Reborn and Feed the Cups. The notoriously panned Umbrella Corps occupies 22nd place on that list.
By contrast, the mid-October Tarkov parody featuring ducks — Escape from Duckov — is thriving: its peak concurrent players still exceed 100,000 (EFT’s peak is about 48,000), and reviews are overwhelmingly positive, with a 96% rating.
