Memory leaks have also been eliminated in Escape from Tarkov: Arena.

Developer Battlestate Games develops not only the main extraction shooter Escape from Tarkov, but also the session-based online shooter Escape from Tarkov: Arena. An update has recently been released that expands the arsenal for the reworked BlastGang mode and introduces technical improvements.

One of the key changes in the update is technical server-side work to improve hit registration. The developers shared that they are taking a different approach to calculating hits:

Now, if a player manages to fire a shot before dying, bullets already fired will continue to be processed by the server until they complete their trajectory and can inflict damage on an enemy. Previously, the processing of such bullets stopped after the shooter died. This could create situations where a hit occurred visually, but damage to the enemy was not registered.

This change can lead to situations where mutual kills happen during a match. This adjustment is experimental in nature, and the developers are studying feedback while potentially making other changes to the system in the future.

The developers also fixed a bug that occurred when trying to report a player or add them as a friend through match history if the player was not on the friends list. In addition, RAM leaks that happened when sequentially transitioning into a match via the Next Game button were eliminated.

The BlastGang mode now supports the following weapon models:

  • MP7A1
  • MP7A2
  • AK-50
  • Mk18 Mjolnir
  • APS
  • APB
  • TT-33
