Nikita Buyanov Showed PvE Prestige Menu in Escape from Tarkov, Developers to Update PMC Bot Behavior and Gear
PMC bots are expected to appear significantly more often in raids.
Escape from Tarkov developers are currently preparing to launch the prestige system in PvE. This system will allow players to reset their progress and level up their “prestige level” to receive various rewards.
Battlestate Games head Nikita Buyanov posted several teasers in social media showing the PvE prestige menu in Escape from Tarkov. Players will be able to earn rewards identical to those from the PvP mode prestiges, but they will be available exclusively in the PvE Zone.
The creators of Escape from Tarkov announced that update 1.2.0.0 includes improvements to PMC bot behavior and gear in the PvE mode, meaning players will encounter them more frequently in raids:
The variation in the number of PMC bots in raids will decrease, and on average, they will be encountered somewhat more frequently. The number of situations where they died even before the player could meet them will be reduced due to changes in their attitude toward Scavs and other PMC bots.
In addition, the developers explained that PMC bots will be better distributed across locations during a raid, will appear more often at points of interest and quest areas, and will more frequently engage in firefights with Scavs and players. PMC gear will become “more diverse and logical.” For example, higher-level bots will carry better quality equipment and weapons compared to lower-level ones. A PMC’s faction will influence their gear, and players will also be able to encounter PMCs in the “Labyrinth”.
