Fans have adapted a popular mod for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered.

Not all of the developers’ ideas made it into the release version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. However, fans found work-in-progress materials in the files that helped restore the content. This resulted in the Brothers In Arms project, which includes both content and various fixes.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt remaster was recently released, and modders have adapted Brothers In Arms for it. The mod fixes over 5,000 bugs and restores content:

  • 145 documents and books.
  • 48 glossary entries.
  • 190 quest journal entries.
  • 8 item descriptions.
  • 123 NPCs — this category includes characters connected to gameplay, those who simply appear in the world, and fully realized NPCs with unique names and dialogue.
  • More than 800 lines of dialogue and some cutscenes restored.

Visual effects were also fixed. For example, here is what the blood effect on Geralt looks like without the mod and with Brothers In Arms installed:

The modders shared that their project includes “thousands of tweaks” for NPCs and objects that could sink into the ground, hover above it, or clip into other objects. They also resolved issues that “could ruin your immersion in the game or even break it in very rare cases.”

The “Brothers In Arms – Ultimate Edition” modification is available for free on Nexus Mods. It is compatible with both The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt remaster and the next-gen version of the game.

Meanwhile, CD Projekt RED is actively releasing patches for the game. The first updates for the PC and console versions have already been released to fix technical issues and graphical bugs.
